What Split PDF does

Split PDF divides one PDF into several smaller PDFs, either every N pages or at page numbers you choose, entirely inside your browser.

Splitting matters when a document is really several documents wearing a trenchcoat: a batch of scanned invoices in one file, a bank statement covering twelve months, a deck where each section belongs to a different person.

You can cut in two ways. "Every N pages" is for regular structure — a stack of two-page invoices becomes one file per invoice. "At page numbers" is for irregular structure — type where each section ends and you get one file per section. The pieces always arrive together in a single .zip, because a split that produced only one file would not be a split: those settings are refused with an explanation instead.

How to use Split PDF

   Upload the PDF

   Drop in the file you want to divide. The page count appears once it is read.

   Choose how to cut it

   Pick "Every N pages" for evenly-sized pieces, or "At page numbers" to type the pages each segment should end on.

   Enter the page interval, or a list like 3, 7, 10 — each number ends a segment.

   Click Split PDF. The pieces arrive together in a single .zip.

Split PDF: details and limits

• Pages are copied exactly as they are, so every output file keeps the original text and image quality.

• In "At page numbers" mode the numbers are where a segment ENDS, so 3, 7 on a 10-page file gives you pages 1–3, 4–7 and 8–10.

• Split points beyond the last page are ignored rather than producing an empty file. If every number you enter is out of range, the split is refused rather than handing back a copy of what you started with.

• Type a range like 3-7 and you will get three files, not one: the hyphen is read as two separate split points, so pages 8 to the end become a third file. There is no range mode — every number is an end-of-segment marker.
