What Rotate PDF does

Rotate PDF turns pages 90 degrees at a time — individually or all at once — and saves the corrected orientation without re-rendering the page.

Sideways pages are almost always a scanner's fault: feed a page in landscape and every viewer will faithfully show it on its side forever. Phone-camera scans produce the same problem, often with only some pages affected.

Each page is shown as its own tile with its current rotation. Tap a tile to turn just that page, or use "Rotate all 90°" when the whole document came in sideways. The Apply button stays disabled until you have actually rotated something, so you cannot accidentally download an identical copy.

Step by step

How to use Rotate PDF

  1. Upload the PDF

Drop in your file. Each page appears as a tile you can rotate.

  2. Rotate what needs it

Tap any page to turn it 90° clockwise. Tap again for 180° and 270°. Use "Rotate all 90°" to turn every page together.

  3. Reset if you overshoot

Reset returns every page to how it arrived, so experimenting costs nothing.

  4. Apply and download

Click Apply rotation to download the corrected PDF.

Details & limits

Rotate PDF: details and limits

  • Rotation changes each page's orientation flag, not its content. Nothing is re-drawn or re-compressed, so there is zero quality loss no matter how many times you rotate.

  • Rotations stack on top of whatever the page already had, so a page saved at 90° that you turn 90° more ends up at 180°.

  • Each page rotates independently — a document with a few sideways scans among upright pages is exactly the case this handles.

  • Because rotation is a flag, every standards-compliant PDF viewer honours it. You are not baking the rotation into a picture.
