What Add Watermark does
Add Watermark stamps text such as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL across every page of a PDF, with control over size, colour, opacity, rotation and position.
A watermark marks a document's status in a way that survives printing, screenshotting and forwarding. DRAFT stops someone acting on a version that is not final; CONFIDENTIAL travels with the page rather than the email it arrived in; a name or date makes a leaked copy traceable.
You control the text, its size, colour, transparency, angle and where it sits. A live preview shows roughly how it will land, and the watermark is drawn into every page of the document at once.
How to use Add Watermark
Upload the PDF
Drop in the document you want to watermark.
Type your watermark text
Enter the text — DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, a name, a date, anything you need.
Style and position it
Set the font size, colour, opacity and rotation, and choose a position such as diagonal across the centre or tucked in a corner.
Apply and download
Click Add watermark. The stamped PDF downloads immediately.
Add Watermark: details and limits
The watermark is applied to every page. To watermark only some pages, split the document first, watermark that part, then merge it back — knowing that split and merge rebuild the file, so form fields, bookmarks and Title/Author will not survive the round trip.
It is drawn as real text on top of the page content, so it prints cleanly and scales without blurring.
A watermark is a visual mark, not a security control — anyone with the right tools can remove it from the PDF. To actually restrict a document, use Protect PDF, and to weld the mark in place, follow up with Flatten PDF in image mode.
Text watermarks only for now. Lower the opacity if the mark is competing with the content underneath.
The stamp uses a built-in font that covers Latin text, common punctuation and the euro sign, but not Cyrillic, Chinese, Arabic or emoji — those come back as "?". The live preview shows the exact characters before you commit, and the tool counts any it could not encode.
